As said the later box's got poorer casting's or lot's of crap in them,There are a few design's in case, the Mi16 & TD have extra rib's, the later BE3's got different Diff cover's and went back to having a shim for the diff like the very early 198¾ BE1 boxes ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

Looks like the gearbox out of the 170bhp 2.2hdi has got the heat treated parts. This suggests the previous ml6 had reliabilty problems when torque reached 270lbft. The torque of the hdi comes on a lot sharper though, and the manufacturers usually over engineer them. I think but not sure that some fords use this 2.2hdi and they have 295lbft with getrag box which could suggest psa limited the torque to save the box? |

I think I'll try the ME5 gearbox, like robertinho... seems to be a extreme gearboxwith the RPM cut and tires I use, will do +- 230km/h in 4th gear at 402m, and 302km/h cutting 5th The gearbox I use today is a BE4 with 3.94 diff, cutting 5th at 8k rpm gives me 327km/h (200mph)!! good for traveling ________________________________________ Citroen ZX 16vXU10J4RS turbo |

ML5 you want, it can be converted to cable clutch.also the cable shift can be mounted into the 306 fairly easily. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I prefer cable cluthmy doubt is, what is stronger, suport a hi-boost engine with huge tires. My case is the worst case, drag racing.. This ML5T cheaper than ME5, and already with shift cables and all hidraulic clutch ________________________________________ Citroen ZX 16vXU10J4RS turbo |

bought the ML5T gearbox "kit" (from a Xantia Activa turbo 97) and now I'm going to put it... now I don't know what clutch I'll use, I think I'll have to use the 235mm clutch and flywheel that came with ML5T, because of the pull-type clutch. I don't see a way to use a push-type clutch with that clutch fork. welshpug!, how can I convert to a cable clutch? ________________________________________ Citroen ZX 16vXU10J4RS turbo |

no not al BE boxes are interchangeable, there's lots that fit the DV6 diesels, and the TU5 and the EP3 and EP6 engines.the V6 has its own bellhousing. not sure if the angle of the DW bellhousing is the same as the XU10 one though the pattern is the same. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
