you need to replace one fan, had this on mine.

Both fans should always kick in, slow speed at 97, high speed at 107.

get one second hand, as new fans are about

the reason one wont kick in at 97 is because you have one buggered fan,and they are on circuit, high speed are on a parrallel circut, hence why that one still works

Great stuff, I was wondering!!

Nice one James, will have a look on the weekend. Last thing, how do you go about getting to the fans? Can you get it from underneath??

Front bumper off, lights, slam pannel then can get to them. Thats why I haven't done mine yet!

The casing is hooked round the radiator and it is possible to get to them without removing the rad luckily. You have to prise the plastic though.

If you pull the brown plug you must have the ignition on to get any result ?

What should happen is ignition on, pull the brown sensor, both fans on slow speed then after a few secs they both go too high speed.

First check the connector on the bottom right, its a bit tight but twist it off, clean and then refit onto the housing.

Or I think your problem will be where the 3 relays are inbetween the fans at the front, pull the cover off and pull the relays out. You may find its all burnt out where the relays get pushed in. They tend to overheat, bit of moisture and then burn out taking the wiring with it Dohhhh...this is where you will need a new fan housing.

Failing that, pull one green relay out and do the ignition on and pull brown temp plug test. if nothing happens pull the other one out insted. You may just have a falty relay/s.

After that and still nothing you will have to test your fans, they are held in by 3 bolts thats it and run some current through them 12v IIRC.

Never rains but it pous with the fans LoL !

Hope that makes sense and helps matey.
