Hi, firstly im new to gti6 ownership, so hello !

About 2 weeks ago i got a gti6 with headgasket problems and a shagged clutch and i have set to and been reparing it inbetween work, i am more or less done now and decided to put the new gearbox oil in today as a load of spilled out when the driveshaft came out !

My mate informed me that the bolt you take out so you know when its filled up was the one on the back of the diff but when i undone that loads more came out so im now thinking thats just a drain plug.

I have found another plug on the end of the gearbox on the bottom left hand corner ( the bit you see when you look through the wheel arch.

Is this the one you take out so you know when its filled up ?

Also lastly, how much oil goes in the box as i have bought 2 ltrs and im not sure if thats enough ?

Thanks in advance !

just over 2 litres is required. I think it is either 2.1 or 2.2

From a good drain 2 litres doesnt get mine full up enough.
