hello! Recently bought my gti-6 and now its started idle hunting After looking everywhere in the engine i came across a bitron relay 'clicking' in the fuse box, part 232303, what does this control? if i remove it the car idles fine! any help would be much appreciated, thanks |

Hi there, I am new to this forum and have been searching google and found this page - can anybody shed some light on this topic? I have the exact same problem. I have removed this unit, and the hunting has stopped, but I am unsure of what this unit controls! Are there implications of leaving this unit out? If it's related to the air-con, well that doesn't work in my car anyway.Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

i would say its most likely to be the idle control valve if its hunting,try taking it off and give a clean with carb cleaner or somthink similar |

WAW! someone with the same problem! lol.Never found out what this bitron did, been out a year and a half now and hasn't hunted since.  Would be good to know what it does do, possibly air con related? but that doesn't work anyway Any ideas people? Cheers |
