Engine ECU = Permanent fault - mixture regulation auto adaption function

I have been suffering from stalling from cold. so I got my ECU read and I got the fault above. I can tell you my stepper is ok and all cylinders are working correctly. Any ideas to which sensor is knackered.

Finally got something to read my gti6 today it hesitates and judders or misfires at 2000rpm under light load and over run and i cant cure it!

Fault code was 00022 fuel/air mixture adaptation...

according to this list 22 is the ICV but i have 2 of these both seem to work ok and have been cleaned out regularly and the car behaves the same, i've tried nearly every sensor and no improvement even swapped the engine ecu from my other 6... the car runs fine for anything from half hour to 2 weeks after re setting the ecu and then plays up again. tried icv, tps, map, coolant, coil packs plugs lambda and all no better Sad even put on a gas analyser at work only to find perfect readings. compression test is healthy on all 4 as well. running out of ideas!

Any ideas guys? help would be much appreciated.
