was going down an eletrical rabbithole last night, re-stumbled across extra grounding kit for the gti6....im sure i was told previously its mostly useless on this forum... went into the rabbit hole of why last night.
essentially this kit would help....if the gti6 sensors/components used chassis/block earths/grounds where they attach, but they dont (correct?).
ergo thats why this kit is next to useless?
however....looking at the magnetti wiring diagram, i can see the only components to use a mounting point earth are the spark plugs?
annoyingly the starter motor is left off the diagram, does this earth through its body to the engine block? or is it through a wiring loom?
are there any other sensors or components that use a mounting point earth that ive missed?
i think the point/question im getting at is, the only potentially usefull extra grounding cable could be one wire directly from the engine block to the battery terminal?
and as all my current earth points are all clean and functioning optimally, the benfits of fitting this cable would be negligible/un-noticeable at best?
