bought the softer of the two they offer.

read the FAQ on how to replace the top engine mount....few questions before i crack on.

1. will i still need to refit the twin rubber pyramid thing that goes on top?

2. tempting fate here, but if the captive nut under the mount breaks away. whats the best access area to get a spanner to it?

3. if the nut breaks away, ive read someone just used washers and a nylock nut as a replacement..... obviously not ideal but is this a "safe" fix? or at least safe enough to drive it somewhere to get fixed/welded properly?

Hello,

Yes.

Yes. Remove headlight, washertank fill tube and fiddle a bit with pas and ac lines.

Yes. My track gti180 with Peugeot Sport mounts is running exactly that, no problems. The Mount came Lose repeatedly with the cage nut.

finally fitted mine today... no crack in the tower so lucky there.

someone in its past life had put a very large washer under the oem mount..... raised the whole engine by 2mm. that got removed....will probably come to bite me in the future.

defo a bit more vibration felt in the cab....not bad though

but feels way better to drive...over bumps n corners under power it would half feel like the engine or chassis was twisiting.... doesnt anymore.

in my experience over the years, peugeot put a lot of useless s**t on every 306.LOL

im guilty of it too Whistle

edit: i did notice the new mount was about as tall as the old mount+washer....so i left it out....engie sits at the same height.
