too small for a gti6.there's loads out there, like a Rotrex C30-94, or a myriad of Eaton products. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

A healthy gti6 engine should handle 6-8psi pretty reliably from my experience. Some of it depends on how you treat the car and controling temperatures. At 6psi with an eaton mine made a very reliable 170whp, at 8psi it was around 200whp but i had some reliability issues when abused for long periods on trackdays.Mines an Eaton M62, reasonaby bulky unit so i think you'd struggle to fit one where the a/c pump lives but nothing is impossible if youre dedicated. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

google says the sc14 was used by toyota in the 80's, its a 1420 cc displacement roots type blower, apparently close in size/flow as the eaton M62. they arent small things, also pretty heavyhttp://superchargedsilvia.50megs.com/about.html ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

sorry, im going back to electric supercharger nonsense again and better come clean ![]() thought about strapping 3-4hp brushless motor to half a turbo, realised id be better off with a supercharger as they run at lower rpms. already got my freind to do a custom controlller box to monitor engine rpms and throttle position and work a brushless motor/esc... now im opening up a can of worms asto what size supercharger unit and all that jazz. i might try and find a sc14 on the cheap and decide whats more achieveable with it. standard install or electric route. its a battle of space available vs piping vs wiring. ________________________________________ the world is changed by people in sheds |

if you want to go electric supercharger that makes any difference you would need extra battery capacity to give it the amps required, essentially turning it into a mild hybrid.volvo use their 48v system to do exactly this on their T5/6 trim levels where the turbocharged engines are also electric supercharger boosted. increased volts on the hybrid side means smaller cabling for the same given amps, or rather not having to go bigger. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
