every now and then when depressing the clutch pedal i feel a click/clunk. not sure what it is. the recalled helper/adjuster thingy isnt there....so its not that.

ive had the plastic bit on the pedal end of the cable snap on me before in another 306 and every time this happens i get paniced its happened again. but everything is fine it would seem.

this never happened in my other gtis and the xsi and wondered if anyone knows what going on?

did some footwell gymnastics on sunday.....findings were:

1. the clutch cable was rubbing slightly on the rubber/foam trim, scalpel to remove the offending rubber. bit of silicone spray down the hole, result is pedal is smoother, no light creak, but im doubting this was the cause of the random click.

2. accelerator pedal is pressing against the same trim, its worn through the black rubber and exposed the orange foam behind :S not related to click but still another random worry.

3. GODDAM PEICE OF S^%T HEATER MATRIX IS LEAKING, F%^KS SAKE!!

excuse my french im guessing the occasional click is just my clutch cable adjuster adjusting...weird ive never noticed it before as this is my 5th 306/3rd gti6.
