Hi can I use this on standard 86mm engine bore? Cometic state 0.030 to 0.060 max.. question if I'm wrong.. That would be bout 0.040? What issues would there be? Compression loss? Enough to notice? Damage to engine eventually? Thanks.

.040 what exactly?!

Whats the compression height/ clearance to deck from the top of your piston?

I have a standard oem gasket on 87mm bore.

Hi the head itself has been skimmed and The measurement is 136.50 I spoke to Matt from pug1 and he said that with a measurement of 136.50 I would need Headgasket 1.55mm for compression and 1.65mm for standard height. I've had to have it skimmed again because I dropped the head causing slight damage to the face. It's now got measurement of 136.48.. So I'm assuming that would be 1.57mm for compression and 1.67mm for standard. I purchase a head gasket with measurement of 1.6mm and the bore was 87mm not 86.5mm. I know that the 0.5 is for the gasket to sit back slightly around the bore so it's not flush with cylinder wall cometic recommend 0.030 min 0.060 max for the Headgasket bore to sit back off the cylinder wall. The extra 1mm with the head gasket being 87mm is within cometic recommended measurement meaning that 1mm is 0.040. Unless I'm speaking nonsense? I'm not an engine builder I'm just rebuilding my head. Welshpug..?? Thanks for your reply much appreciated.

Probably be fine, from memory the oem gasket is 86.5mm, I'm using one on an 87mm bore+

Worst case you could sell your 87mm gasket
