Advise please. Currently restoring a GTI6 and I am missing the fuel pipes from the tank and filter to the engine bay. Are these parts still available or is it best to make some up, suggestions would be appreciated or a set if anyone has them hanging about.

I suspect anything from a petrol 306 would work, might be worth getting the fuel pump/sender and all of the pipework from a donor so you can see where/how it all fits together. The only difference would be at the engine bay due to the different fuel rail arrangements but, on a GTi6, it'd be a good move to switch to something that does away with the white and green cubes as they're a known source of leaks.

I've done this with mine, as have a few others.

That is looking good and something that I am considering doing. What fittings and piping did you use on that set up and how far did you go with the new piping. My rother unning GTI-6 is not leaking from the squares so lucky there but will consider changing to something newer when I rip the engine out.

The fittings are all AN-6 and use the PTFE lined hose. The pipes only go as far as the the chassis rail although I'd considered going all the way to the tank with these connectors at the fuel pump/sender & filter but it gets really expensive!

Thanks for the info. Hopefully getting an original one from Dave Gilbert to put on but certainly looks the part.
