iplay Seasoned Pro Location: Number Wang Registered: 18 May 2006 Posts: 3,272 Status: Offline	Post #1 my garage has upgraded the super unleaded from 98 octane stuff to 99 octane with X2 detergent. is this too high octane for a gti6? is the increased detergent destrctive to an older engine? is it better to run te cars on super unleaded? any advantages or disadvantages for engine wear?

They say it burns cleaner, has more of the good additives. At the same time running on LPG since 2017 (even higher octane) for low-medium loads without problems.
