Evening All,
I have acquired a Clarion 1570C unit from eBay however it has no code with it, after I was told there was one for it. The questions I have are as follows:

1. Is this unit able to be decoded free online? The series No starts CL0339X........ I read somewhere that units that start with a CL had to go back to Peugeot etc.

2. It is to replace a PU1570B that has a dodgy screen, Is it possible to swap the front panel from a B to a C unit and if so where is the code stored, In the unit or the facia

The code is stored on a chip in the main part so xould try a front panel swap.

Oh OK, Might try that by swapping over the panels. I assume that the B and C units are practically identical as they look exactly the same.

I take it the head unit Doesnt still have the barcode with visible serial number on it..?

If so you can decipher the code from that . See here : http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=64063
