Hi all,

I wanted to know your thoughts on dampers for our cars.

I've had a HDI dturbo spec from new (same damper part number on servicebox) and the first time I replaced the dampers with aftermarket ones I noticed the front sat higher so I bought some OEM ones from Peugeot to keep the height oem as it looked right.

I found the rod length on the aftermarket one were 20mm longer than the OEM ones.

So we know that the bilstein B4 and B6 are the same length and the B8 is 20mm shorter.

Should we not be using the B8 dampers if we're change to aftermarket dampers?

Could I have your thought on this please.

I will be following this thread closely, as it is of some interest to me.

I have just installed B8's with 35mm Eibach springs and have been disappointed because the ride height has only dropped approx. 15mm
