Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a new oil temp sender?

Think I have a dodgy one, and can't find one online at all. Thread size is M14, and has 2 connectors in the plug - most of the ones online seem to have one connector.

Part number is 1131 A6.

Something like this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233560605497

Although not confident on that one at all.

Cheers in advance,

Alex

that's an ecu green engine temp sender you have linked to.

peugeot museum list them

https://www.pieces-de-rechange-classic.com/306/1996-thermistance-14x125.html

its a variable resistance to earth sender, single wire.

Cheers for that mate, spoox do one as well.

There's got to be some aftermarket ones available though, for less than 50 quid!

This looks like it's a bit closer to what I want, but it's only an M12 bolt also I can't find any mention of the Peugeot part number 1131 A6.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402186789829

Then we have these ones:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153757002501

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/402186789888

Those only have one connection in the plug though.

Having an absolute mare here! Any Google search with the part number in comes up with nothing.

single connection is no issue, its a single wire.

M12 I think is the earlier 205 sender.

the other sensors have red colour coded rings, the oem looks to have a brown one, the resistance range is different.

So it shouldn't matter that the cable running to the existing sensor has 2 connections in the plug?

And the coloured ring around the plug tells you what resistance it is?

I'm also noticing a number of the ones on eBay have a switch point. Looking at service box I'm assuming I need a switch point of 165 degrees?

Excuse my lack of knowledge on all this, electrics has never been a strength!
