Hi guys, im with a "problem" on my 6.
Im getting a bad reading from my iat sensor..
With the car completely cold the diagnostic device is reading 85°C wich is stupid... I have tried a new sensor and the same happens !!
No fault codes are shown in diagnostic device..
Does it ever happen to anybody ? What could it be ?

I would check the wiring loom and the connections. There might be corrosion on a pin in a connector or something.

More that likely the cable could be shorting to ground.

Temperature Resistance
10°C - 3530-4100 Ω
20°C - 2350-2670 Ω
30°C - 1585-1790 Ω
40°C - 1085-1230 Ω
50°C - 763-857 Ω
60°C - 540-615 Ω
80°C - 292-326 Ω
90°C - 215-245 Ω

Check continuity between pin 1 on the sensor side and pin 29 on the ecu side. Then plug the sensor in and see what resistance you get on the pin 29 on the ecu plug.

I'd also check resistance across the sensor and compare to expected factory values.

This will tell you if it's sensor or something else (wiring). Given its a new sensor, I doubt both the old and new sensor would be faulty. Not to say it wouldn't be that, but I'd be very surprised.

If it's not the sensor, test the continuity on the wiring, which I assume goes back to the ecu

If you can't find corrosion or broken wiring, to isolate the fault check the resistance between the pins in the connectors of the sensor and the ECU. Pin 1 of the IAT goes to pin 29 on the ECU. Pin 2 is ground and goes to pin 17 on the ECU and also to pin 2 of the MAP sensor. According to Peugeot schematics.
