Hi All,

In the process of removing gearbox from 98 GTI6 build date 06/98.
Box has Zota 9191625 scribbed on it, from the passenger firewall there is a short cable-clutch cable type, to hex bolt fitting on top gearbox.

Anyone shed some light on what this is, as have been following FAQ gearbox removal, may have overlooked this step?

Not up to speed with the photo hosting at present.

Thanks for the reply, are these usually problem free, looks to be in good nick still?

Have an old N5 98 306 Auto, so manual not familiar with.

Got an old GTI6 recently, body good, but rest much work needs to be done and very difficult to obtain parts in this neck of the woods.
