Picked up a bonnet from a chap called Phil in N'hampton. The address I picked up from is about 15mins from Bristol Street Motors. He's got a nice Cherry Red Rallye on about 200K if I recall, couple of little dings but overall tidy. Maybe he's on here?________________________________________ 1343Z4 coolant hose o-rings for sale198131 injector o-rings for sale |

Yeah, it was Phil. He'd just had an MOT at Peugeot that didn't go as well as he hoped....!________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye .... On going OEM spec restoChina Blue GTi6 .... Weekend toy Black 208 GTi .... Wife's car now Silver BMW 550i.... The executive missile |

Thanks to Ben for pointing me in the direction of this forum. It was indeed my car at Bristol Street Motors today for its annual service and Mot test. However as Ben says, the dealership that has in the past always passed my car failed it on corroded chassis legs and where the fuel pipes run up the bulkhead, plus a few other minor things. Possibly the end of the road for the car, as its served me without fault for a few years now. What's more annoying is I had a new clutch a week or so ago, so wasn't able to get it tested. However I'm now in a quandary whether to fix, sell or break. Once I have a price for the rectification work, I'll decide on what course of action to take. |

Hi Phil, defo fix mate. The major thing is the welding, the others are bits and pieces really Phil, a clip here and there, a new cv boot, set of rear pads, handbrake cable or adjust - just bits really. Great to see you/another Rallye by the way, I actually can't remember seeing another Rallye on the road since I've had mine (5 years!). Hope you get it sorted.________________________________________ Bianca 306 Rallye.Mondeo Titanium X. |

Phil, as above really, it's only the welding that's a huge issue and even that might not be that bad especially as you seem to have had the MOT at the same garage and they hadn't flagged ianything previously. Fix it.The bonnet is still sat in my garden. The colour is more orangey than the one on the car but I'm not complaining for the price I paid! I'm going to practice popping the minor dents out and then have a go at spraying it with gun and compressor. ________________________________________ 1343Z4 coolant hose o-rings for sale198131 injector o-rings for sale |

Hi there, Are you the chap who came up early one Sunday a few weeks back...? Might have another bonnet for you if it's a costly repair or too far gone. |

I had a look at the other bonnet but I think the one I took away was the better of the two. It's not a problem, only minor dents as to to be expected really. Any idea what you're going to do with your Rallye after the MOT? ________________________________________ 1343Z4 coolant hose o-rings for sale198131 injector o-rings for sale |
