Times come to do my clutch and I’m thinking whilst I’m there I’ll put a lightweight flywheel in. Few questions, what brand Lightweight flywheel is the one to go for? Standard Valeo/LuK clutches good? Whilst I’m there is there anything else I should replace? Thanks for any help. |

Hi Chris,..The flywheel to go for is one by TTV Designed by Rich W On here,.. He has a thread going if you do a search But here's ttv's site Clutch wise get a Valeo one that's the OE one and can't go far wrong Car parts4less, euro car parts, and GSF are always doing discount promo codes! As for other things while your there It wouldn't hurt to change the drive shaft seal and clutch folk bushes 😉 ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

Do you know where I can get these? Thanks for the link too |

The fork bushes should be easily available. They are not NFP yet and are not only used in the 6 gearbox so should be still available for a while. Be sure to get the newer design of the bushes which are meant to seal better against dust from the clutch plate and wear less. I did not know this when I replaced the clutch last time and used the old style bushes. Now after about 30k miles it's creaking like a 100 years old bed when pressing the clutch pedal. Use the tagged parts in the following picture. These are the newer style parts (part numbers: 2175 54; 2175 55; 2175 56): |

many dealer parts guys are lazy as feck, but also they really dont stock anything these days, you need to ask a different question, "will you order these in for me" rather than "do you have"________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

The other point to add is that service box isn't updated in real time. I found this out to my detriment yesterday as one of the three different door card clips I'd ordered from Citroen for the Xsara has been discontinued and they don't have anymore. Even the parts guy didn't know this was the case until they didn't arrive.Service box didn't say anything about NFP/NLA so whilst it may suggest the gearbox bushes are still available, they might not be..... ________________________________________ Cherry Red Rallye .... make sure that clutch fork goes around the back of the clutch or you'd only have to take it all off and start again! don't forget your new crushable washer for the gearbox plug too! Have fun! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |
