Anyone else had issues with the mount support?

Noticed on my last day out the car seems to be pushing out cv grease from the Joint and after inspection found the boot is rubbing on the subframe as the mount has pulled down slightly, and even with a new support it won’t tighten fully as the captive threads are damaged slightly

I haven’t I’m afraid but basically it’s the black support that holds the gearbox mount which is secured to captive nuts in the chassis rail with 2 m8 bolts.

I’ve got other supports but it’s one if the threads in the chassis that’s damaged. I’m going to weld and brace the bracket as a quick fix but wondering if anyone else has had similar as know plenty have had the top engine mount crack etc but never seen the gearbox side cause issues

you are running both plates as they both add to the strength?

yes but my thoughts are this wasnt always the case in its past life. - I have made and added a more substantial bracket though which should solve the issue

iirc the nuts are easy enough to swap, they're probably the same as a 205 and a 106 pas pump bracket

have you got the battery support bracket that braces across the top of it with the 4 screws?

Yes I’ve got that but it’s still been dripping slowly I.e every outing the shaft was getting a mm closer, which is due to the closest bolt in the chassis not holding tight and has gotten worse since going back to a 6 speed box over the 5 speed in previously.

I’ve just remade a stronger support in place of the battery tray so shouldn’t be going anywhere now and if it does I’ll remove the fuel lines and weld the support in fully

The nuts are captive in the chassis? Assume the only way is to cut them out? I’ve ran a tap through them but still the front one won’t hold solid so has definitely pulled a thread or 2.
