Hello,Two weeks ago, the rev counter stopped working. I started the car, revs went up... and then down. I checkt the plugs at the back of the clocks and these are fine. Anyone any suggestion what can cause this issue? It is a phase 1 GTi6 (well, to be precise a phase 1 XSi with RFS fitted). ________________________________________ My car park:'96 Sigma Blue XSi6 '98 Diablo Red GTi6 '99 Onyx Black S16 All RFS powered! Plus various other Peugeots |

there are a few things i've personally come across in the past that caused these same symptoms,..1. check that your battery terminal connections are clean and tight! 2. there's a silver looking fuse under your steering column i believe this can pic up static and interfere with the signal 3. check that all your earthing points in the car are clean and well grounded! 4. the wiring loom from the engine runs up the right hand side of your cassis leg (looking from front) check that there are no breaks to the wiring if their are splice in another piece on my car it was a white wire that relayed the speedo's signal 5. check the main engine wiring loom plug for corroded pins (if this is the case sand and clean up!, you may need new O'Ring Seals) hope some of these ideas help! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

Feedback on this issue:Last Sunday I started the engine and the rev counter was working! No idea what has changed since I parked the car last week... Also, the oil pressure gauge did show something... most likely oil temperature as I do not have an oil pressure sensor installed.
