Hi All,

I posted an earlier thread after a steering pump and ram for my GTi6, managd to find a used pump in good nick but still trying to track down a ram (Part number 401153). Because it's a different from the standard 306 models and GTi6s are rare over here in NZ I'm having no luck.

Any idea of where to source a new one, or a used one in good (non leaking) nick?

Thanks in advance!

George.

I've just enquired about one that's listed on Gloveboxdirect, which looks like a genuine new old stock item. £170, but having priced up reconditioning my old one, which was going to be about the same price (because I'd have to machine a bunch of stuff to make it fit and the MOT guys here probably still wouldn't like it as it'd be a "modified" steering component). Looks like that's the way I'll go if it turns out to be the right part, since I've been keeping an eye out for months on ebay etc and nothing's come up yet.

Actually, disregard the previous post, they can't get one for me, so it's back to trying to find a decent one if anyone's wrecking.
