Have you thought about getting replacement bushes for it?

Do you ever go up the m1, I might have spotted you in the summer.

The M1s not a usual route for me, I try and stay away from the constant roadworks!

brushes most likely, as they use cartridge type bearings. easy enough to change and pretty cheap.

or ebay even, grab the part number off the alternator and drop it into the search.

I think there's a choice of mitsubishi valeo and bosch units, all about 90 amp, but many part numbers.

Thanks for the help guys, I might give it a go and replace the brushes, or just be lazy and stick a new one on
