So they overly convinced by the 308gti but appear to like the 6.

so I found the GTI tame, very boring and actually felt like a family car on steroids !

I would prefer to have a drivers experience but Peugeot need to make the car apealing to all types of customers (petrol heads and boring business men). The more customers they can appeal to the larger sales potential they have.

The engine is a robust 1.6 with a big fat turbo bolted onto it.

I prefer this over the golf GTI - but both are tame !

list price is also far too high, but you can get massive discounts.

recipe sounds spot on and it would be very easy to sharpen them up a bit, spring rates and roll bars can have a big influence here.

Took one of these for a drive the other day as I found an absolute minter with just 1200 miles for 14k off new price. Was impressed by the quality of it but am unsure am test driving a new focus rs and a rs3 before I make any decisions. Anyone else have any experience?

the RS3 is different league to the Peugeot that's for sure!

i'm in a new car phase at the moment, looking for something around the £20-25k tops mark, that's alright on fuel and tax but quick. The S3's and 240i's are looking favourite. Oh and must be the flappy paddle auto too. something about 18 months old ideally Unsure

not a particularly fair comparison looking 2.3 and 2.5 4wd hyperhatches vs a 1.6 fwd pug I think.

try a Seat if you are looking at an S3, same car but better looking without the ringpiece associations.

i've been using a mates Cupra FR Seat Leon thing whilst i did the starter motor on my E46 coupe and that's a flappy paddle DSG like the S3. he reckons it's really like an S3 overall. quite like it but feels a bit plastic inside and not keen on the looks of the front end vs the Audi really.

the main issue for me is people coming in your house to nick them around here, especially the 5dr models
