My gp A 205 billies have 2.5" dia. springs of unknown vintage and poundage.
Does anyone know if there's any issues running 2.25" dia. springs, as I have plenty kicking around to choose from of known poundage.
Cheers
Iain

10" 185 lb and 8" 225 lb rings a bell for pts springs, gravel/tarmac.bigger diameter springs have more travel for a given length iirc. 2.25 wont fit your spring pans. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I already have 2.25 spring pans from some old Cossie gpA stuff I still have lying about which will fit; my question was more surrounding a technical reason why I can't spec them, perhaps clearance on the inverted damper or something like that??A lot of aftermarket stuff is 2.25.. and the fact that my old cossie ones are 2.25 on Bilsteins makes me wonder why PTS were 2.5, unless there's something that I'm missing? They asked me what diameter springs I used and supplied the correct cups. I didn't get springs from them. They would have said if 2.25 was a problem - I know them pretty well now! ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
