Anyone owned one or been in one? I fancy a project car something other than a 306 and always loved the Type Rs. Seems like you can pick them up fairly cheap just now. Thanks! |

It was a leading contender when I was looking before I bought the Rallye. Haven't driven one but the idea of the engine and the LSD was very appealing, and I remember the complimentary road tests from back in the day. An engineering tour de force, well screwed together and reliable but make sure the bodywork is sound as they can be prone to rust IIRC.See Accord Type R write-up here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1311802 ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

Yes I've owned 4 of them over the years and they're very capable cars. Things to watch out for are rust, rust and more rust. The bulkhead, chassis rails and inner wheel arches are notorious for rot.Handling wise they're very good but kinda predictable and boring after a while. |

An old work colleague of mine had one. She loved it! Four doors and a decent boot are a plus if you're gonna run it everyday________________________________________ CLUB BLACK RALLYE||B8s||60-70mm drop||Black Partner Steels||P1 VTS Rack||Refurbed Beam||Hybrid ARB||VTS Torsion Bar|| |
