Hi guys. I know some of you are knowledgeable with 205's so hopefully one of you can help. Basically, I've got a serious problem. I've had the upper rubber engine mount snap. There were 2 bolts holding the mount bracket to the side of the block, 1 was completely undone and the other has snapped in the block. Can someone tell me if there are other bolt holes I can use because it looks like there is another one which has not been used, possibly causing this failure. Any help is appreciated Thumbs up

thats xud9te so not specific to a 205, never seen that happen so its likely due to a missing bolt, they can't just fall out due to the proximity of the chassis leg.

there should be 4 bolts, don't think they are the same length.

It has been messed around with quite a lot so I suspect someone got lazy and didn't put all the bolts in. At the time of failure, it looks like only one was actually in place as that is the one that has snapped when the engine mount split in half.

Probably quicker to take the engine out to investigate and repair properly, the timing belt tensioner spring plunger is housed in the bottom of that casting, itll make fitting a new belt kit a 5 min job too.

This is good advice, unfortunate you have to do it but realistically the best way forwards.

Not really ideal as Pete is hopefully coming over Wednesday eve to put a cambelt on it and hopefully get it back on the road. I know it's quite a big ask from him but I'm sure he is capable.

Mei, do you know what size the mount bracket bolts are...?
