Been trying to google but what Tyre size would be "ideal" on a 15 x 8.25 rim? Purchased some new wheels but dont think my 195/50/15 are going to be much use to me anymore.

Is that 8.25J? Like super wide?

I have Rinjani's fitted, 7.5J wide. 205/40R17 tyres.

no, its 8.25"

J is the bead profile.

theoretically a 215 45 15 would be closest fit and same rolling diameter as a 195 50 15.

Depends what tyres you plan to use, some tyres are much squarer than others especially competition tyres.

Looking at the likes of r888, Dz03, ad08 type tyres. If all works out as planned I'll get another set and run 1 on track tyres and 1 on semi slick tyres

if its on a 205 you'll need some pretty big flares.
