With much sadness I unfortunately have to put my Rallye up for sale.
Genuine reason for sale - too many projects on at the moment, I've lost my storage facilities for the car and my son has started his karting career so I don't have the time for it, and I don't want it sitting in my drive (can't get it in the garages at home for my other project plus karts etc.).
I bought the car back October 2014 from a forum member as I was looking to purchase a Rallye that I could have some fun with, get up to my standard and have as a toy. Sadly it didn't happen - I drove the car home (no issues) and put the car in the garage and forgot about it. I then in June of last year had the car recommissioned and put back on the road (spending a small fortune doing so - circa £1400!!!) drove it 10 miles to my storage facility and there it has sat covered over until the end of last month where I've moved it to my house.
So in the whole time I've owned the car I've done about 400 miles....
I have the V5 in my name, 2 keys, original service books / manuals / all old MOT's and some paperwork.
It's 99' white Rallye and its in reasonable condition body work wise - if I was keeping it I'd be having it resprayed but thats me just being picky I think. All panels are in tack and have no rust. I've removed the wheel arch liners as I was in the process of tidying up the wheel arches. Engine bay wise there is the usual surface rust but nothing serious.
Interior wise the car is standard - seats etc. are in great condition with no rips, tears etc. (I have had the drivers and passenger front seats to my local trimmer who replaced a small section of the vinyl of the bolsters and generally gave them a once over / clean etc). The only thing that is missing is a standard heaed unit as I removed the not so standard cheap nasty head unit that was installed with the intention of replacing it with a standard unit. Interior mats are available with the car too. The heater matrix was starting to give up the will to live so I did start to strip the dash to remove to replace the matrix but didn't get much further than stripping out the dash panels - all are with the car including fixings etc. Parcelshelf is in tact with no speaker holes.
Engine wise the unit was rebuilt a few years back (head off etc.) new water pump and such like) and the belts from memory were last done in 2013 so probably due for renewal via age rather than mileage as since 2013 the car's done less than 10k and in my ownership much less. Engine isn't a tapper either which is good - was last serviced 2015 when I had the car MOT'd and its had a new clutch fitted too, along with new bottom arms, ball joints etc. I also fitted shortened gear linkages too. It passed it's MOT back in June 15 with one advisory which was a small oil leak which I had fixed too. I have noticed a knock from the nearside drive shaft - looking quickly it looks like the boot has lost the retaining clip so it eaither needs replaced or repacked - again no biggie really.
Full stainless steel exhaust - down pipe back (including cat omit). It needs a bit of fettling however as it does rattle about.
Suspension - benefits from Bilstein B4's on the front with Eibach -30mm springs and Bilstein B6 rear shocks with a good axle. (I do have a refurbished axle that can go with the car subjec to agreement on price).
Brakes - Brembo 4 pots on front with 288mm discs and pads (new), new discs and pads on rear.
Wheels and tyres - Speedline SL2118's (super rare, bought from Carl Chambers circa £120 a wheel) with 195 x 50 x 15 (toyo proxys - brand new!
I'm never going to get back what I've put into the car, and if I had the time I'd break it but I think the car deserves to live on and see another few B roads before it meets its maker... hence I am offering it at what I think is a bargain. It won't take much to get it MOT'd and it would be a great weekend toy for someone.
I'll take some more pictures of it asap and post them on here.
