Hi.

My lynx low boost supercharged 306 has a misfire. When I removed the spark plugs I found them all covered in dry black soot.

The boost pipe was collapsing when it was a silicone bend near the supercharger, however I have now replaced it with a solid bend to stop that from happening.

Any ideas what is causing it?

Too much fuel or wrong grade plugs.

They may not be getting hot enough to self-cleaning.

If the car isn't getting driven hard or doing shorty journeys you may need to revert to standard heat grade.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I am using grade 7 spark plugs (NGK BKR7EIX)

It has not been used very much at all, has been warmed up about 4 times (mostly on the driveway holding a few revs and once for a noise test). I was hoping to do a track day next weekend so was just making sure it was ready to go as the last time I had it started it had a occasional misfire.
