Firstley I'd like to openly thank Twangy for teaching me lots of new tricks an techniques that I look forward to putting into practice! (Watch this space!) Not only Did he put me up at his, but made me feel really welcome and bought me food! And filled me with a wealth of information i have no idea what to do with Thanks Mate! So the Dimma/Maxi panels,.. The rear quarters came out very well! Fitment looks good too doesn't seem to be any majour issues! Those are carbon kevlar and kevlar extremely light and when taking a licking will keep on ticking! These versions are Build for practicality! The ones I will start producing will be fiberglass but will be vacuum bagged using this same process to reduce weight and increase strength! By drawing out the excess resin I haven't ruled out carbon/kevlar but these options will be far more expensive! While we spent 2 solid days on these there just wasn't enough time to be able to see everything pulled from the molds My wings were missing the beveled headlight parts So we cloaned these from a genuine Dimma steel wing and spliced them into the original moulds I have Fitment still has to be checked and due to not being ready to be removed I've left some of the moulds with Twangy because they went ready for de-moulding and want worth risking it so will be going back to see him soon! But here's a cheeky peak of one of the wings awaiting gray base coat Twangy will send me some pictures as soon as he can and ill post them here! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

Yeah mate I'd definitely consider doing them! But I'll have to source some perfect condition standard wings to moulds from then make the moulds themselves and finally the part which would be a lot of work if you can get some realistic figures of numbers that want FG wings as a grope buy id definitely consider the project! Id want them to fit with minimal work too! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

Like I say get a list of interest going see who's realistically interested otherwise you'll be looking at £500 for a pair of fiberglass wings after all the work ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

I'd be interested in FG panels but I have a ph.1 and there are fewer people with those so probably less interest for the group buy. The shape of the headlight cutout is slightly different on the wings.I'd love a maxi kit too but don't have the funds to wide-track properly right now. Maybe in the future. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |
