Ive had bakerBM fitted on my track car for 15 trackdays and still as good as whrn i first bought them. I found vibra technics ones far too harsh if your using it on the road too________________________________________ 1998 Supercharged White Rallye1992 205 GTi6 205 Turbo 340bhp |

I've had no issues with my baker bm mounts over the last 3-4 years involving many trackdays and normal road use. Can't comment on vibra technics though as I've never had any. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

My BakerBM top mounts been on since I bought the car 6 years ago and it's still fine. Tbh it's the lower stabiliser mount that adds more to vibrations etc.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

To the guys who have broken the BBM ones did you buy them new or second hand. Mine was new and I fitted a new BBM buffer at same time. The metal cup part of the rubber mount had completely cracked in a way similar to the usual chassis problem.And yes I had screwed it in nice and tight. Luckily the bottom stud is actually a bolt welded through the cup so I could get a socket on it to undo it. Tbh it's the lower stabiliser mount that adds more to vibrations etc. ^ what aaron6 said, i just put in the power flex black torsion mount. i have noticed a fair amount of extra vibration between 1 and 1.5k revs but once you hit 2k revs and over feels like a new car, but throughout the rev range there is a bit more noise, not a bad amount but you do notice it. |

Also helps hugely if you have chocks welded in to take up the gap on the pyramid buffers ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

That's the one. I couldn't think of a way of better describing it.i prefer welded in chocks though as it won't increase vertical movement. As the gti6s have that dome topped hexagonal buffer holding it all down. Those shim will raise it up a little. It may not matter but it's my opinion it'd be best to weld them in.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |
