Has anyone used these units back and front on a standard 6 or rallye. Looking for advice on rebound adjustment for fast road use. The rears have three settings;soft, mid, hard. The fronts have out of car adjustment 720 degree on rebound. Has anyone found a good balance with these. I understand there is a certain 'try and see' with these but learning from someone else would save me time most especially with the fronts. I was planning to leave the rears on soft setting to begin with, with the 20mm torsion bars. The fronts are not adjustable on car, stripping the strut on trial and error is a bit painful. The car has standard 5002p7 springs with febi wishbones and partner p bushes. I've personally never used koni yellows before,I have bilstein b6 on my 6 but these koni units have come my way and look too looovvely to pass up. I checked past threads about these but can't find advice on running with all 4 at once. Thanks |

I have koni's on the rear of my track car and just set them to the middle setting. I'm on 21mm torsion bars and a 30mm anti roll bar. No complaints with mine as they are. Can't comment on the fronts though as I'm on kw v2's ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Now thats an Arb! Just chuck a railway sleeper in there lol, I was under the impression that the biggest you could get in there was 27-28 mm on one side and less on the other. I guess if you're running like that on track the min setting will do on the rear to begin with-not bothered by having to drop out the rears to readjust. |

Febi-bilstein do trailing arm shafts where the bore is just over 30mm either side, so it's not an issue with those The factory supplied shafts however have a smaller bore, so they would need drilling out to suit an arb this size, hence why some hybrid arb's were made which were a certain diameter (cant remember off-hand) for a certain length then a smaller diameter for the remainder, these could be used with any trailing arm shafts. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

I've got koni yellows set to the softest setting all round with eibach springs and 21mm TBs at the rear. It's a nice setup.________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

Love my Gaz golds on the rear tbh and about 30 odd clicks of adjustment which does bump and rebound... their rock solid on about half clicks with 20 or 21mm bars made a silly amount of difference to mine handling wise considering I paid about 150 new for them. ________________________________________ Black power baby! Just an update to this, Tried these konis on all three settings and finally settled on mid settings with the standard gti beam. On full hard on bumpy roads I found the rear packing down a lot and was quite harsh on anything other than billard table smooth. Replacing the rear front mounts has also made a massive difference to the rear. i replaced these less than 20,000 miles ago and now new again. Was expecting them to last a bit longer. The brand I used was Febi, clearly not as good as pug original. Have yet to put in the front Konis |
