Just looking for the best way to go about fitting the door and making sure it aligns the same as the old one?

remove the hinge pivot bolt rather than the hinge from the door, it'll be much closer then to start with.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

The way I have done is like follows:Get one (hopefully two helpers) Sit in the drivers seat, get them to hold some of the weight of the door, Unscrew doors from body (ideally mark around the brackets with tippex) Then get them to bring the door to you and line it up, Get it as close to as it was as possible then do it up fairly loosely and gently close the door to see how it lines up. You can make quite a bit of adjustment by slackening off the mountings and then rotating up down/pushing or pulling away form body. Its basically trail and error, Once it's right, Tighten up all the way. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

if you undo the pivot bolt the door will not fall off, as the lower hinge is cone shaped into the top hinge part |

I got a new pair for mine and did it on my own by undoing the hinge pin bolt. The hardest part turned out to be reconnecting the door loom connector. ________________________________________ S Reg Diablo standardsSpec SORNEDR Reg Nile standard spec written off then repaired X Reg Astor in need of TLC R Reg Nile to restore Set of Lions to fit. |
