Drivers window not working but passengers side is. Is this likely to be the switch or the wiring?

Thanks. Going to check it tonight. Is the white wire you're talking about inside the drivers door? I presume I'll need to take the door card off to get into it

Is the passenger side working from the driver side main switch? If so I would say the switch or the regulator.

Yes the passengers side window is working from the drivers side switch.

Window has just gone back up so I'm guessing it might be a faulty or loose wire....or perhaps an intermittent fault in the switch. Too cold to work on it tonight in the dark so won't be putting my windows down until I can get it fixed probably!

as said broken loom wire in the door jam, try opening and closing the door while the switch is pushed see if it cuts out in on the windows

Will try that tomorrow....just a little wary of putting window down now in case it doesn't go back up!
