Hi guys looking for some input on Coilovers.

The car is gonna be used on the road 95% of the time so i don't need anything super track orientated .

Whats about for around £500

Ive seen these but unsure if there worth the money or not. Dunno

I would stick to std spring diameter dampers like bilstein or koni at only£500, decent coilovers really start at double that.

Well the cars got bilstien and eibachs at the minute but i cant get the car as low as i want it, and ive been told that if you go further than -30mm on the shocks they start to smash themselves to bit in side and leak.

I really rate my KW V1 Innox for what I paid for them but that was only £350.

As welshpug says you don't really want to go much below 30mm if you want the car to handle well on most surfaces.

I have progressively adjusted my front ride height to get my car handling the way I want, basec around a 40mm rear drop done before i owned the car and found the handling changed dramatically with +-4mm of front ride height. Most of the adjustment was to increase front ride height though.

My car is now spot on to my taste, the rear only becomes unstable when provoked yet still has great front end grip and is stable on the brakes. I put it to the test on some north Wales back roads recently and was amazed with my car, p**sing over friends Type R's in acceleration and handling.

I couldn't tell you what the actual ride hight is though, it was all trial and error based around the fixed rear

Well this is the car with -30 springs on.

its far to high and looks really silly in person, I'm only adter getting the arch just above the tyre so nothing dramatic, it probably need to drop another 15mm to get it were im happy with it.

TBH it's difficult for me to tell as I'm running 195/50 15's but your arch gap doesn't look too different from mine.

I know it's not empirical but I can get 1 finger in the rear arch and 2.5 fingers in the front

Rear looks standard height, or not far off. B4s aren't great.

Are they gti6 specific springs?

What size tyres are they?
