Hi guys,

As I know there are many threads here with awesome 205 projects and I´m currently building my first 205 CTI 1.6 with a GTi6 engine, I have a few questions for you if possible.. So, I´m thinking to use a Gti6 engine with a 1.8 16v gearbox that I have as a spare..
- Can I use the 1.8 16v (XU7JP4) flywheel and clutch (as they are a pull type) to suit the engine?
- I have the 1.9 Gti hubs already to use Gti6 brakes. Can I use a Gti6 driveshafts or a hybrid 1.6 original one?
- Does anyone have a Gti6 to 205 conversion wiring loom for sale at a good price?

Thanks
Pedro

1.8 is a push clutch, get a 1.9 MI16/bx16v clutch on the gti6 flywheel, 1.8 flywheel is only 200 mm clutch, gti6 and mi16 is 215mm.

what?

not me. easy to do though.

the wiring loom is a piece of p**s to do yourself. there's a guide over on 205gtidrivers with the pinout and wire information

as said, 1.9 mi16 clutch

gti6 brakes are fine with the 1.9 hubs and 1.9 shafts

any shaft other than 205 (or 309 if using 309 wishbones) will be too long.

And can I use the standard 1.6 shafts in 1.9 hubs and 1.8 16v gearbox or will I need specifically the 1.9 shafts to use with 1.9 hubs? Also, will I need to use the 1.6 diff to run these or the 1.8 16v one is just fine? Thanks for your help!

1.8 diff will be fine, 1.6 shafts will only fit base model and 1.6 hubs. you need 1.9.

MUST be a 16v clutch, not 8v.
