Hi all,

It's been a while since i have been on here so first of all hello everyone.

The issue i'm having is a new one that has only happened since I fitted a new heater matrix to my car. Everything has gone back in where or how it should so no issue's there, but now when i started the car for the first time I bled the system through on all 3 bleed points, ran the car upto temp and the fans kicked in fans go off no problem. so i stop the car check the level of coolant and top up with coolant and try to start again but it just turns over and over. so i leave it for 10 minutes try again and it starts first turn of the key. Run upto temp again and same again with the fans, turn off and try to start again and get the same. leave 10 minutes and its fine. I have checked that the fuel pump is kicking in and it is, fuel is getting to the engine, checked the plugs and they are wet with fuel but just not firing. I have taken the coil packs off and can see what looks like a crack on 2 of them in the plastic surround ( see picture ) the red line. Would this cause the problem or is it down to a temp sensor.

Any feedback would be great.

Hard to see from that pic but if a crack on 2 of them were causing an issue then it would only not run on those 2 cylinders. Sounds like your loosing spark completely which is what mine did when the crank sensor died.
Could also be caused by the black relay bolted to the rear of the battery box as that provides power to the coil packs.

Wouldn't know how to test the relay without looking on autodata to be honest. It's a multiple relay switches a lot of things on not just the fuel pump. No there are no others like it on the car best to try a known good spare or new. But considering your symptoms I'd suggest trying a crank sensor anyway.
