i've used all sorts on mine, think i've got some yellow E36 m3 door clips in mine at the moment and they work fine too

ebay will have billions of types and cheaper than dealer if you know what they look like

In my experience, unless you want it popping off after every door close or grain of sand in the road! Go to a dealer and get them there.. You can buy them individually and I can't remember it costing more than a few quid for a doors worth! Worth it IMO!
