I had a hole in my filler neck and replaced it with a diesel filler neck but doesn't have the box bit at the top with the 2 small pipes coming off it what go into a little white but on top of the tank then no idea where they go after that. Sure it has something to do with the carbon canister what i have removed too.

What is this and do i need it?

its a breather for the tank when filling it has a one way valve in it that vents to the carbon canister also

im guessing you dont need my correct filler neck now as it looks like you need all the vent/breather parts too that youve broken

Just checked my messages mate thought I had replied LOL sorry. Na am just going to pull it all out and see how I get on eith the HDI filler neck. Cant really see it causing a problem as its quite wide compared to the petrol filler so should be able to breath easy enough

make sure the larger pipe off the top of the tank is fitted to the bottom of the filler
also be aware of the other breather off the top of the tank which would go to the one way valve unit
