owned the car for about seven years now, was off the road in dry storage as part time project which took, five or six years.
can post pictures of the work done.
everything mechanical is new from head gasket, water pump cambelt, clutch to wishbones to wheel bearings reconditioned calipers, suspension you name i can prob pull out a receipt for it.
i took the car to matt at pug1off to go over it with a fine tooth comb after it was on wheels, as it needed the ecu unlocking engine running for the first time and a mot which cost me £1000Whistle
i had planned to have the car for another 10 years or so but i have no where to store it now, as the wife passed her test in feb and wants to park her silly clio on the drive too Angry.
ive done maybe 800 miles in it since its last mot 11months ago, i can see her point that i dont use it enough.
ive not driven it since feb and the car is sorn.
ive just bought these black cyclones from ebay, which i dont really like on the car but i didnt want to sell it with a refurbished set, and loose even more moneySad
i have my phase 3 six that is more suited as a family taxi.
i have tried talking the wife into letting me buy a 205 so i can use the engine in that hasnt worked!!!
i think ive spent between 4k - 5k on it i really dont want to tally up the receiptsWhistle.
mot runs out 1st aug it should p**s it.
brake discs have got surface rust on from sitting outside.
bodywork in places is a little scruffy, under the nsr light cluster it is dented i had planned on having this done, but ive not got around to doing it. wife and daughter taking up any spare cash these days.
(unless i can get it in to dry storage for another seven yearsLove ....maybe get it done on the slyWhistle )
the hole underside of the car is detailed subframe trailing arms torsion bars, wheel arches the works.

from memory, bearing in mind it is friday night and all, you need to use an image hosting site like photobucket and use the IMG code as a link to add pics.

Hope this helps, would really like to see the pics. Sounds like a great example

to all whos interested ive listed it on ebay.
you cant miss it it has the bonnet open in the add plus pictures of the engine on a work bench, and couple of pictures of the rear beam and boot well.
would like it to go to a good home.

Sorry for the non related reply but fair play that is one lovely example of a six! You have put a lot of work and time into it. It's great to see, good luck with the sale!

Another vote for It's for a sweet looking car, not often you see a six looking as fresh as this, especially a phase one Big grin

I will be collecting this beauty next weekend, I couldn't resist it. I love the phase 1 plus the work that's been done on it is spot on, I doubt I would find another one like with the spec on it.

I want to thank Antony for keeping this one alive as they are getting a bit rare now.

It won't be on the road straight away as I have some things to do to it first, just bodywork really as everything else is sound on it. I don't really want to be putting miles on it to be honest but it needs to be driven.

I now have 2 gti's but will be getting rid of my Y reg once the phase one is done.Thumbs up
