Hi all,

My cooling fans don't work, think the issue is the sensor to bring the fans on, as I have disconnected the brown plug and the fan cuts in with the ignition on. I ordered a new sensor and I've left the plug disconnected for the time being... Only problem is the fan will no longer come on Thumbs down Thumbs down Thumbs down

Any ideas guys as the fuses all seem to be ok... I don't have any tools with me and I'm far from home for the weekend... Any help would be greatly appreciated to avoid a hefty garage bill

I had similar problem previously with two 306 cars. I dont think it is the brown sensor is failed. It is most probably the "Bitron" unit under the wing.

On both the cure was to remove completly the failed Bitron unit and to rework the cables to use additional simple switch sensor mounted on radiator.

Your 'relay' could it be your flasher unit? The indicator stalk can wear and cause the clicking to occur.

How do I check this is the fault and not a wiring fault? I've changed the temp sensor and fault still there. The AC had a leak and I was going to remove the AC...

You say that but I still only have 1 working high speed/high temp fan - nobody has been able to solve mine

Ended up doing the ac mod to turn the one fan on manually which i hate but gave up trying to fix the f*cker
