Trying to decide whether to fit a 5 speed box or another 6 speed or are we likely to have the same issue again with a 'standard' box and need to consider something else?
Any advise would be much appreciated.

We have lost third gear in our high boost track Rallye this weekend while at Blyton. What gear box do other use in their HB cars? Trying to decide whether to fit a 5 speed box or another 6 speed or are we likely to have the same issue again with a 'standard' box and need to consider something else? Any advise would be much appreciated. |

The hdi box is slightly stronger but the ratios wouldn't suit the supercharged cars, I my self have 1st 2nd 5th and 6th shot peened and cyro dipped and straight cut dog engagement 3rd and 4thI believe Ross aka superchargedblack has a spare set of the straight cut gears if not contact KAD but would be more expensive that from Ross due to not being a group buy The 5 speed vts, s16, xsi box's are not any stronger as far as I'm aware |

So is the common consensus that replacing it with another standard 6 speed box will just end up with the same issue happening again at some point? |

VTS and most later BE3R & BE4 box's are weaker than the S16/M16 box's due to the finer teeth arragement used for refinement on the later models, which plaque the 6 speed box's for the same reason________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |
