Can anyone help me either make a better job of this one or fabricate a new one. It seems to have be fine with the original installation I just feel it something I'd like to improve on now it's going in my car. Or maybe I'm just being fussy what do you guys think ?  Any help much appreciated  ________________________________________ Old pugs don't die they just get faster |

If it works okay then clean it up and paint it. ________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Yeah I might see if I can get those spacers welded 360, then possibly get them bridged together I might have a bit more confidence in it once it's painted ________________________________________ Old pugs don't die they just get faster |

Tig welding on mild steel is not that strong. If you want strength then get someone who is really handy with a stick welder.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Well yes, but then it depends more on the drive shaft to subframe clearance than anything else and how you make them up - the engine angle, diff clearance and servo also come into play. And what radiator and fans are used... We had to pull the gearbox a fair way up to get shaft clearance and space the drivers top mount up. Using a chopped 406 mounted welded to the wing does help but tends to put the engine forward, last thing you want for handling. hmm maybe if i change that mount for the aluminium one it may not work with the conversion i have at the moment, maybe ill try and sort the one i have ________________________________________ Old pugs don't die they just get faster |

yours doesn't look a million miles off, I'd check the measurements and get hold of Paul, see if they're close to the Alloy mounts.not the same thirdtimelucky as here no. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |
