Over the last couple weeks I've noticed my coolant temperature gets high at high speeds or when traveling up hill (when the engine is working hard). I've read that this could be due to a thermostat not opening fully. My coolant level is not critically low but could do with a top up.

What are your thoughts?

Have you had any work done on the cooling system lately? No chance of an air lock? Could be a blocked radiator? When its up to temp are both bottom and top pipes hot?

No work has been done on cooling system. Haven't checked the pipes yet.

When cap is off there does seem to be water flow. Not sure how much there normally is.
