Hello all,

Apologies but I am quite new to the forum!!
I've been having issues with the exhaust from day one!
General rust and holes and things have led to me purchasing a replacement box and centre.
They are both the recommended klarius parts which fit together nicely!

However the centre doesn't quite fit onto the cat as it looks as if the pipe/sleeve is about half an inch long..
Would it be okay to just shorten it to fit?

Cheers..

Cutting off what you need to in order to make it fit shouldnt be an issue. Lots of people manufacture different types of exhaust with chopping and welding. Perhaps your cat isnt the standard item or maybe the exhaust you have bought isnt the correct oe fitment? Either way just do what you need to do i say

Thanks, I didn't know whether it would affect the cat by cutting the pipe..
I'll definitely give it a go if nobody thinks I'm making a mistake! Smile

Just in case it was of any interest to anyone, I've shortened the cat pipe and was able to fit a new centre and box by Klarius which has done the job. No more tank sounding 6 for me! Smile

And just to back up your comments, when I fitted a replacement cat i too had to cut approx 1.5 inches off the cat pipe
