Just wondering if anyone else's Phillip M lower strut brace is hard up against the sump and acts like a mount Dunno

I had my sump shaved a little to stop this mate Smile

Mines nowhere near the sump and even it wasn't sat further back from the sump it would still clear it as its a good bit below.

Yep mine used to rub against the sump. Made an annoying noise on pull away. Odd though as with the old engine in, it was fine!

Andy your brace looks like it sits a good few inches aft of what mine does, might just be the angle of the picture though.... Can you take one from directly underneath the brace so I can compare it against mine.

Is yours the twin tube brace?

Wtf is going on with mine then! I'll get some pics tomorrow but mine sits against the back edge of the sump, the lower engine mount fork is connected with solid mounts so it's not like the rubber has gone and allowed the engine to swing aft!

I will do but it looks exactly the same as above but blue, twin tube and sat in exactly the same place as above

Measure the length of the mounting tube. I suspect that yours will be longer than the other if your hitting the sump.
