Hello all
Simple question for the gurus!!! Engine runs on 2 cylinders only. Diagnose shows no spark on first and fourth cylinder and no power on the corresponding injectors!!! Any clues what to look for???

Many thanks.

Yanni.

I'd be looking at the continuity from the injector plugs and coils back to the double relay then Smile

Check the following:

- Injector / coil wiring continuity to ECU, and leaks to earth
- Injector resistance
- Coil packs
- Failing that, it may be a failed ignition / injector driver in the ECU

Cheers
Rich

Update.

It seems that it's was none of the above. In the MK2 Xsara Xu10j4rs engine ECU Citroen decided to change the software so the immobilizer is embedded in the ecu map and has a rolling code. Now the problem is that trying to unlock the immobilizer confuses the engine map thus the engine runs poor or not at all. Only solution is to clone the BSI module under the dash from another car and code it to the ecu with that map. After two weeks that was the solution and now two cars runs fine with the same software and codes.
Job done.

Thanks for the replies guys Thumbs up

Yanni
