Just got back with my new purchase, she's even better than I expected, will be restoring to original spec and will try to update on here when I can.

The car has 67k on the clock with lots of history, only rust is where the brake fluid has leaked on the bulkhead.

she even has all original windows Inc windscreen and what look like original speedlines and original clarion tape player with cd changer.

will post a pic later.

fetched it from Bristol today, was pointed in the direction of it by a member on here on ebay and snapped it up straight away.

Main work is the engine as in there isn't one fitted, it's all in bits in boxes, apart from that it's very straight, think I will just rebuild the standard engine, smarten up all the trim and bumpers, got some great textured trim paint that makes it look like new, then give it a full respray, doesn't really need it but I want it to look like new when finished.

will shot blast and paint the engine bay too and do any welding if necessary but on a quick look over I don't think there will be any.

will be fitting all new bushes, new suspension and rebuilding the rear beam and set it to standard height :-)

This stuff is great. No need to paint which can then flake off etc.

Good project!

You need the grey stuff on a 309, black is too dark I think.

I had one of these 4.5 years ago, it was relatively rust free on the front, the seam where the rear panel sections are attached to the boot floor upper section was starting to go, and the paint had come off the inner sills, though still solid.

Ah I see. The black one worked extremely well on the ph.1 306. I'd imagine the grey one is similarly good.
