Hi gents

I've done a search but nothing is coming up, how easy/difficult is it to retro for the aux kit from a Rallye?

Do I do it from the top or bottom? Do I have to remove other bits for access etc? Also is the ac pump lubricated by anything or can I just unbolt it without dumping out the engine oil etc?

Apologies if these are dumb questions but I'm keen to get cracking but don't want to cock it up!

Cheers

Chris

Idler and tensioner sit above alternator so will be avhieveable from the top and the air con pump is lubricated by the oil in the refridgerant so no you wont lose any engine oil. I would say take it to a local gatage to degas and recover the waste oil from the system if your system isnt holed and the gas already gone

Removing the powersteering pump makes life easier. You will also need to tap out the holes for the pulley as they get full of crud

There isn't a drop of gas in there sadly so that isn't an issue, however I've not owned a tap in my life so god knows how I'd do that bit! Is it a spanner job?

as daft as this question may sound, why would i need to tap anything, is this to open up a thread not used by the a/c setup that is used by the rallye version?

not to open up, but to clear out corrosion and crap accumulated over 15-18 years of sitting in an engine bay, the holes indeed are not used by the AC arrangement.

bolts are all M8x1.25.
